Like many Americans, AVAIYA Co-Founder, iKE ALLEN still enjoys going to restaurants for lunch and frequently dinner. He knew he had let his weight slide a little bit, but it wasn’t until his 44th Birthday that he finally got the impact of how he was living his life. His 5-year-old daughter, Ava, told him he was “TOO LUMPY” to eat his Birthday cake!
It was one thing for him to be lumpy, but what was he teaching his children? That night, iKE decided he needed to get back into shape – if not for himself, initially – for his children. Fortunately for iKE, his girlfriend and business partner, Ande Anderson had her Masters in Nutrition.

About Ande Anderson:
Ande Anderson, MS, RD grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and was exposed to the world of whole, fresh foods at a young age due to her mother’s passion for gardening. In her teenage years, Ande became interested in the fields of fitness and wellness, going on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado. After 3 years of applying her exercise physiology skills with cardiovascular patients at Boulder Community Hospital, Ande was inspired to study her long-held passion for nutrition. Ande has a background providing medical nutrition therapy to inpatients as well as nutrition counseling, lectures, and cooking classes to outpatients at a multiple award-winning hospital. While Ande built a strong foundation of knowledge in the clinical realm of nutrition, she was inspired to leave the industry to reach a greater number of people and thereby have a more widespread influence on the health of our society. Ande now promotes healthy living within the community via lectures and workshops, while creating documentaries and educational DVDs to support people in their pursuits to live a life of health and vitality.
