You Can Have Healthy Relationships!
When Actress Dee Wallace isn't on stage and screen, she's sharing her insights on how to practice self-love and have healthy relationships. Dee's wisdom is featured here and in the Free AVAIYA Course, Believe & Receive.
If you're looking to create healthier relationships with others, you have to create a healthier relationship with yourself. We've all heard this a million times and it's still true.
Imagine you are wanting to create a new relationship with someone. First of all, you have to know what you really want. The best way to begin is to make a list of all the attributes that you want in this person. Nowadays, it's as easy as opening a Google Doc on your phone and speaking into it.
Everything Is Energy
Everything we do in our lives is energy and energy has to have a direction. If you're not directing it consciously, like making a list, that energy gets directed unconsciously or subconsciously. And often, your unconscious thoughts pull from your past and do not have your best interest in mind.
One of the biggest challenges that affect our creation of healthy relationship is the relationship we watched from our parents growing up. Subconsciously, that child in us is saying: “I don't want that! I don't want that kind of relationship!” But again, if you're focusing on what you don't want - this is spiritual creation and brain science - that's what you're going to attract. Until you finally wake up to your authentic truth and focus on what you do want.
Energy has to have direction. Be clear about what you want and write it down. Then I suggest that you look at that list and ask yourself: “Am I the attributes I wrote on my list? Is my heart open? Do I honor and respect the people in my life and myself?” Imagine that you have a core belief inside you saying “I'm not good enough.” Well, that's like walking into a room of 10 people you find attractive and saying “Hi, I'd love to have a relationship with you! I really want to have a relationship with you! By the way I'm not good enough and I really don't think very much of myself. Who wants to have a relationship with me!?”
It's Time To Start Loving Yourself.
They are all going to say “Yeah, see ya later! What’s the point?” And that’s why I’m saying the relationship with yourself is so important for you to get into alignment with. And the more you can truly love yourself, the more everybody else is going to want to love you, too.
